Our Story
Our Story
In 2009 The Agricultural Advisory Committee for Haldimand County felt that a Farmers' Market in Caledonia was needed. In 2011 the market was moved to the Canadian Tire parking lot. However, 2023 the market was moved back to the fairgrounds at 151 Caithness Street East.
Come rain or shine, every Thursdays from 2-7pm you will find local farmers with various fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, maple syrup, honey and specialty products all available for your culinary pleasure. During inclement weather, the market will take place inside the Riverside Exhibition Centre.
Agriculture is an important part of the local economy in Haldimand County and the market is run by farmers who have local fresh food waiting for you. Visiting the farmers markets not only helps support local small farm businesses but it connect with you with the farmers who grows your food.
Fresh taste and excellent quality is the next best thing to harvesting it yourself!
